As you design your kitchen and choose the style of your sink, there are several functionality and installation options you’ll want to consider, especially since they may affect your faucet options. We’ve outlined the basic information below.
Smart Divide®
If you often wash large pots and pans yet want the functionality of
a double-bowl sink, consider a Smart Divide sink. The divider is
uniquely developed to make it easier to clean large, bulky items
while keeping clean and dirty items separate.
We offer single-, double- and triple-bowl sinks to match the way you
work – whether you use your dishwasher for dishes and just wash
large pots in the sink, or you hand-wash your dishes and want to
separate clean and dirty items. You’ll also find a variety of bowl
sizes in our offering and may want to consider a sink with a wet
work surface for food preparation.
KOHLER sinks are available in a range of configurations, including
double-equal and offset bowls. In addition, our Undertone® line of
sinks can be grouped to create customized configurations.
Apron-Front
Often called farmhouse sinks because they evoke images of
traditional kitchens, KOHLER apron-front sinks have a stylish panel
in front and are available in both tile-in and under-mount models.
Self-Trimming® installation lets you install an apron-front sink
with most conventional cabinetry. Our fresh approach to color and
material includes apron-front options in KOHLER enameled cast iron
and stainless steel for any décor.
A particularly easy model to install and frequently used with
laminate counters, the top-mount sink’s rim extends above the
countertop surface and supports the sink’s weight. Clips and bolts
under the counter hold the sink securely in place. Many of our sinks
accommodate both under-mount and top-mount applications.
These sinks mount beneath the counter and are most often used with
solid-surface countertop materials like granite and marble.
Under-mount installation highlights the curved contours of the sink
bowl and makes counter cleanup a breeze. Many of our sinks
accommodate both under-mount and top-mount applications.
You’ll need to determine the number of faucet holes needed for your
faucet when you choose a top-mount sink. The number will depend on
the style of faucet you prefer and whether or not you’d like to
include a sidespray, filtered water or soap dispenser, or additional
functionality.
Under-Mount Sink Kits
This kit helps ensure quick, sturdy installation of most KOHLER
enameled cast iron under-mount sinks, helping to eliminate the need
to build a wood frame or drill into the countertop.
Bar
Bar sinks can be installed as a complement to the primary sink in
the kitchen to help in food prep or cleanup or as a stand-alone sink
in a family room, entertainment area or anywhere else you entertain
guests.
Our utility sinks allow you to take great style and functionality
beyond the kitchen and into the laundry room, greenhouse, basement
or garage. We offer a range of durable sinks that stand up to a
variety of projects.
